Mustard in bloom

Snapped this on my way home from work, on a back road near Gruiten, a village in West Germany. Actually, I first thought these bright yellow fields would be canola … but it seems it’s the wrong time of the year now! In Europe, mustard blooms in late summer and autumn while canola does so from April to July. Adding to the confusion is that there might be some canola blooming in autumn but … hey for now I hope I’m correct and this is mustard. What do I know :)

As with most of my recent photos, this was again taken with the Contax G 90/2.8 (at full aperture), mounted via Techart adapter on my Sony A7 II.
