We don’t have any really significant buildings in Cologne. It looks more like a giant village then a city with a population of 1 million :) The Cologne Cathedral – the Kölner Dom in German – is our biggest landmark and you can see it from 30 miles away.
This is a snapshot from the “other” side of the Rhine (opposed to where the city center is located) – taken at the northern end of the Poller Wiesen, a big open space directly at the river that is perfect for a relaxing walk. Only a couple of 100 metres from the city center. Autumn colors are just starting to appear.
